01 How FundShot Works

FundShot monitors the funding rate of 500+ perpetual pairs across Bybit, Binance and OKX in real time. Every 60 seconds it fetches all tickers, classifies each pair by funding intensity, and sends Telegram alerts when thresholds are crossed.

03b Setup, Guardian & Dashboard Cards ⚡ Pro / Elite

The Trading dashboard gives you full control over three interconnected systems: Money Management, Guardian and PnL tracking.

💰 Money Management — position sizing

Before enabling auto-trading, configure how much capital the bot can risk per trade. These three parameters define position size:

Trade size
e.g. 50 USDT
Notional size of each position. Multiplied by leverage to get the actual margin allocated.
Leverage
e.g. 5×
Multiplier applied to trade size. Higher leverage = larger exposure, higher risk. Stay ≤ 10× on volatile pairs.
Max positions
e.g. 4
Maximum concurrent open trades. Prevents over-exposure when many signals fire simultaneously.
📐 Example calculation:
Trade size 50 USDT × Leverage 5× = 250 USDT position size. Max drawdown per trade with SL -6% = -15 USDT (6% of 250). With 4 max positions, worst case simultaneous loss = -60 USDT. Always set trade size so that total worst-case loss is ≤ 5% of your account balance.
🛡️ Guardian — the risk engine that protects your capital

Guardian is FundShot's proprietary automated risk system — a feature no competitor offers. It monitors your bot's performance in real time and automatically pauses trading when it detects danger, then resumes when conditions normalize. You don't need to watch the screen. Guardian watches for you.

📉 Max Drawdown
Default: 10%
Total capital loss since session start. If your unrealized + realized losses exceed this threshold, Guardian locks the bot and sends you a Telegram alert. You can reset it manually once you have reviewed the situation. Formula: (session_start_balance - current_balance) / session_start_balance
❌ Consecutive Losses
Default: 3
If the bot closes N losing trades in a row, Guardian activates a cooldown period and stops opening new positions. This prevents the bot from "tilt trading" — chasing losses in adverse market conditions. Counter resets on a profitable trade.
💸 Daily Loss Limit
Default: 100 USDT
Maximum USDT you can lose in a single calendar day (UTC midnight reset). Once reached, the bot stops for the rest of the day regardless of signal quality. Essential for prop-firm funded accounts and disciplined personal accounts alike.
⏸️ Cooldown
Auto / Manual
A waiting period triggered by consecutive losses. During cooldown, the bot monitors but does not open trades. Cooldown duration is configurable. Use the ↺ Reset button in the Guardian card to clear it manually if you've reviewed the market conditions and want to resume early.
🛡️ Guardian Status Bar: The colored banner at the top of the Trading page shows Guardian's current state in real time: 🟢 SAFE all limits OK — 🟡 WARN approaching a limit — 🔴 LOCKED bot paused, action required.
📊 PnL Cards — reading your performance
💰 Realized PnL
Profit and loss from closed trades only. This is real money that has been settled on your exchange. Includes trading fees automatically. The bar chart below shows the last 20 sessions so you can spot trends.
📈 Unrealized PnL
Current floating P&L on open positions. Changes every second with the market price. Not settled until the trade closes. Guardian includes unrealized losses in its drawdown calculation.
🏆 Win Rate
Percentage of closed trades that were profitable. Formula: wins / (wins + losses). A win rate above 55% with good R:R is considered excellent for mean reversion strategies.
⚡ R:R Ratio
Average risk-to-reward per trade. Formula: avg_win / avg_loss. FundShot's trailing stop strategy targets R:R ≥ 1.5 — meaning you earn more on winners than you lose on losers.

08b Open Interest — what it is and how FundShot uses it

Open Interest (OI) is the total number of outstanding derivative contracts (perpetual futures) that have not been settled. It represents the total market exposure at any given moment — how much capital is currently committed to open positions on a given pair.

📈 OI Rising
New money entering the market. More participants opening positions. When combined with extreme funding, it confirms that the imbalance is getting larger and more unstable — a stronger reversal signal.
📉 OI Falling
Positions being closed. Money leaving the market. When OI drops sharply while funding is still extreme, it may signal a liquidation cascade already underway — the reversal has started.
How FundShot uses OI
01 Signal confirmation: An extreme funding rate alone is a signal. Extreme funding plus a spike in OI is a much stronger signal. FundShot cross-references both before sending HARD or JACKPOT alerts.
02 OI spike monitor: Every 5 minutes, the bot scans for sudden OI increases (>15% in 1 hour) on pairs with funding ≥ 0.3%. These are flagged as priority candidates and appear in the monitoring list.
03 Pre-monitoring: Pairs with HIGH+ funding AND elevated OI enter the "monitoring" list before a trade is opened. The bot watches for the optimal entry window as the funding cycle approaches settlement.
04 Alert enrichment: Every alert — funding rate, level change, pre-settlement, OI spike — includes the 📈 OI 5m line showing the percentage change in open interest over the last 5 minutes. A rising OI with extreme negative funding is the highest-conviction long setup.

Time until the next funding payment is settled. This is critical for timing. Entries 15–30 minutes before settlement capture the funding payment + the post-settlement reversal move. The pre-settlement alert fires automatically at this window.

Current total open interest in USD and its percentage change vs the previous scan (60 seconds ago). A positive Δ means new positions are being opened — more exposure building. Combined with extreme funding, this is the highest-conviction setup.

Current mark price and 24h trading volume. Low volume pairs are more volatile and harder to exit cleanly. As a rule of thumb, prefer pairs with 24h volume > $5M for auto-trading. Lower volume pairs can still be traded manually with smaller size.
